Ventilation Testing for Building Regs Part F

Anglia Air Testing is BPEC Certified which means we can inspect and commission ventilation systems for Part F of the UK Building Regulations. Since the introduction of the 2010 regulations, you may be asked by building control to have your bathroom and kitchen extractors tested to verify their rate of extraction. We can now offer this service.

We can also commission and certify MVHR (Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery) systems. Our test equipment is UKAS calibrated in accordance with the regulations.

Code for Sustainable Homes (CSH)

The Code for Sustainable Homes is a new national standard for sustainable design and construction using a 1 to 6 star rating system to communicate the overall sustainability performance of a new home. The Code sets minimum standards for energy and water use at each level and also gives new homebuyers better information about the environmental impact of their new home and its potential running costs. It also offers builders a tool with which to differentiate themselves in sustainability terms. We can offer advice and assessment to help you meet these requirements. Please contact us for further details.

SAP Calcs

SAP (Standard Assessment Procedure) Calculations are used to assess the energy performance of new homes. This has been a requirement for all new build homes since April 2006. We provide this service through an accredited SAP assessor who will require drawings and specification of your development. Please contact us for further details.

EPC Assessment

An Energy Performance Certificate is now required for new homes. This can be supplied without requirement for a site visit, using the information provided in your SAP calculations. Please contact us for further details.

Acoustic Testing

Some dwellings such as flats and semi-detached or terraced houses are subject to acoustic testing in accordance with Part E of the building regulations. Anglia Air Testing can arrange for testing, certification and consultancy via our colleagues at IEC.

Thermal Image Surveys
Using our FLIR thermal camera we can quickly identify heat losses and energy wastage with fascinating results. We can instantly assess the thermal efficiency of a building by identifying areas of conductive heat loss, air leakage, thermal bridging and moisture intrusion. Written reports with accompanying photography can be provided.
